Welcome to Deer Valley Crossroads Language Arts

I am the Erin Rupe, the Language Arts teacher at Crossroads.

I was born and raised in Albuquerque NM. I attended Sandia High School where I was involved in Student Senate, Choir, and sports. After high school, I went on to New Mexico State University in Las Cruces NM. I majored in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies. My Junior year I participated in the National Student Exchange Program in college and went to California State University. I graduated from college in 2007 and moved back to Albuquerque. I immediately got endorsed to teach Language Arts, just like my mother.

After graduation, I started teaching in Rio Rancho NM. I taught 6th grade Humanities in Rio Rancho for a few years. During my first year teaching I worked at Ann Taylor Loft as a sales associate. My next years of teaching I also worked at Sylvan Learning Center as a tutor in Reading, Writing, Study Skills, Homework Help, Math, and SAT/ACT prep work.

I moved to Phoenix AZ this summer. So far, I really enjoy Phoenix. I genuinely enjoy teaching at Crossroads. It is my passion in life to help students find purpose and passion in their own lives. I hope to help students learn to help themselves and become outstanding citizens as they enter the adult world.
